About Central Texas TMS

Central Texas TMS is dedicated to providing cutting edge care to patients with autism, depression and OCD. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a new, non-medication, non-invasive option for the treatment of depression in patients who have not improved with antidepressants, have had too many side effects from the medications, or as an alternative to electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).

Central Texas TMS usesThe Neurostar Therapy treatment device - the same device used at many world renowned medical facilities including the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins and Walter Reed Hospital.

Currently, TMS is FDA approved for the treatment of major depression in adults. At Central Texas TMS, we are also using TMS not only to treat depression, but obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and autism spectrum disorder in children, adolescents, and adults. Nearly 100% of our patients with depression have significant improvement in their depressive symptoms and daily functioning. Our patients with OCD have had greater than 50% decrease in their OCD thoughts and behaviors. The patients that we have treated for autism spectrum disorder have decreased their scores on the Cambridge Rating Scale by greater than 40%. Parents, family members, and caregivers report improved social interaction, decreased rigidity, decreased Impulsivity, improved self-regulation, and reactivity, and decreased compulsive/repetitive behaviors. We encourage individuals with questions about the benefits of TMS for their unique situation to schedule an individualized consultation. Learn more about us
